I try not to blatantly copy other people's outfits too much. Usually, I pin what's inspiring and then create my own outfits based on some ideas, like a totally neutral outfit, or a neutral outfit with a pop of color. But when I saw this outfit, I knew that I'd have to recreate it. I knew my version would be very different since I don't have a fitted lace cutout crop top, but I knew I could recreate the idea of a cutout over a tunic (I only have this black and white tunic and this white cutout, which is why I used the same colors). Because my white top is boxy, I decided to belt it with a scarf for a more fitted look. And I have to say, I'm seriously in love with this outfit. Like, I-would-break-my-no-repeating-rule-for-this-outfit, in love with this outfit. But I won't. Or at least until I've decided I can't do this anymore. I have so far though, and I've really exceeded my expectations, so let's see how long I can keep this up. Hopefully this new favorite will stop calling my name...That'd make it a lot easier.

Your interpretation is SO cool!! I think it's mostly because you added a snazzy colored scarf-belt over the top. It makes the whole outfit unique to you.
ReplyDeleteI break my no repeating outfit a lot. You just have to be strategic. Like, don't wear it around the same crowd, don't wear it two days in a row, don't photograph it again (or get photographed in it and have it posted all over for people to recognize. lol)
Love love love this outfit!
ReplyDeleteThat is all. :)
