We decided that a great way to kick off summer would be a little shopping trip/adventure, so that's what we did last week! We went to a new area of a city close to where we live that we hadn't been before, and it totally paid off! There was tons of cute murals, boutiques, and cafes that were a lot of fun to explore! The day ended with a productive trip to Buffalo Exchange, which of course, is no surprise! That store is amazing! If you haven't gone before, you simply must. 

Not my (Charlotte's) favorite or best outfit ever. But for laundry day/lots of thrifting/vintage shopping/weird hair day, it was perfect! 

And yes, I did attempt the blogger tuck-in. It didn't work out so well and, as you can see from the two pictures above, I'm a bit indecisive. Oh well!

This is my first post in a long time. My wonderful friend Charlotte has been doing all of the work so now it's my turn to post a few things. This outfit was thrown together this morning and then i liked the way it looked so i decided to post it. i was excited when i found this Express skirt at the thrift store.

 But. The real story here are the shoes. These shoes were my life for about three days. i dreamed about these shoes. Seriously. I saw them in Nordstrom Rack and i immediately had to have them. But they were 50 dollars and i had no money. So, depressed and annoyed at the lack of fairness in this world, i left without the shoes. Come Christmas morning, i was half expecting them to be under my christmas tree, but sadly, no. But there was a 50 dollar bill there. So the next morning i got up before 7, drove the hour to the Nordstrom rack and bought the shoes. And that is my profound and meaningful story for the day. :)

I'm saying this multiple times so that it sinks in and I know that I'm not dreaming. And it's true! I did get a fur vest and I'm not dreaming! You want to know the best part? I got it for 5 dollars at the thrift store!!

And I love it for 5 reasons:

1) It was only five dollars

2) I was wanting it for a loooooooong time.

3) It's faux fur, so I don't have to worry about not being a good vegetarian.

4) I got this awesome pink skirt that I got to wear with it.

5) It is my new love. Sorry, imaginary boyfriend, you got replaced.

So i wanted to share my amazing fur vest with you, because i loooooooove it. And its fun to wear and keeps me warm on chilly days like today. I was so excited to post this that i practically begged my family to help me take pictures early this morning.

But i can't take all of the credit for myself. My stepmom actually found it and got it for me, when she stopped by the local thrift store. Soooo... technically I didn't find it...

But i did find my skirt! I absolutely love this color pink. Usually i don't like the color pink, especially the nasty pastel kind that you buy for newborn babies, but this color just jumps out at you and says BAM! Look at me! (My dog just looked over at me, because i usually say what i'm typing out loud and whenever i use all caps, i tend to yell.) Anyways, this is my outfit of the day. I'm going to go pet my fur vest...

Sorry we haven't posted anything in a while, it's been really hectic! So this is my outfit from last week. The dress was a really good find at the local thrift store and I just kind of added my own twist on the classic shape of it. I love the print, even though it was doing weird stuff o the camera when we took a picture of it. Look at the first picture if you want to see what I'm talking about. But anyways, there's my outfit.

What's Black and White and Red all over?

So I recently found this vintage dress in my mom's closet and wanted to wear it for three reasons:
1) It is my color scheme: red, white, and black.
2) I am very currently obsessed with vintage things right now.
3) It gave me an excuse to wear my new oxford flats.
I love the whole 50's vibe of it, and I'm really glad that I had my Betsey Johnson bracelet to wear with it because what is a fifties dress without pearls?
So there you go, my new(sort of) vintage dress stolen from my mom's closet.
I really want to go watch Breakfast at Tiffanys now.

The Coolest Shoes Ever. Period.

                 This was a rather quick photo shoot. Both of us took some pictures outside, but the bugs were getting to us (as you can see by how red my hand is in on of the pictures from scratching a bite), which is why the last few of me are inside. 

                 The scarves and bag are both vintage pieces that came from Germany which have been in boxes in  the closet for as long as I can remember. It was great to get them out and use them again. Especially the scarf/shawl I'm wearing in the pictures above, as I have been searching for something with that kind of print for quite a while.
