Changes

As you might have guessed, things are changing a bit around here. It's hard to believe that we've been blogging here for almost two years! Crazy! And it's really been wonderful. But we've decided that we have very different blog visions and a two-person setup isn't really the best anymore. Don't worry--we're still the best of friends! It's just that since we'll be moving to different cities next year, it'll be too difficult to continue doing a joint blog, and so we're both striking out on our own! We're both very excited about the new blogs and we hope you'll join us over there!

You can find Charlotte over here at her new blog, In Motion, and Blythe over at her new blog, In Adaptation.

Thank you so much for all your follows, comments, and just taking the time to read our blog. Every one has meant a lot.

Blue and Green

Top: Thrifted/Shoes: Amazon/Jeans: Old Navy/Vest: Norstrom/ Scarf: Germany

I'm so behind real life with this outfit! If I wore this now, I'd probably only be able to be outside for maybe three minutes! But anyway, I just had to mix patterns again with this white/light purple scarf and this shirt. I wear this shirt all the time, but up until this outfit, I don't think I had paired it with another pattern. I definitely will in the future!

It's also weird to see these pictures because I still had full across bangs then! I've been growing them out and now they're just side bangs. I can't decide if I want to cut them and have them go straight across, again, though. I think I might do that in the fall right before school starts, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I still have all summer, though!

How has your summer been so far?

Sweats

.
.
Top: Old Navy/Scarf: Germany/ Sweats: TJMaxx/ Cardigan: Gap/ Sneakers: Nike

Hey, guys! As you all know, summer's here and I'd like to officially announce that I made my goal of not repeating a single school outfit! At least to the best of my knowledge and there was that one little slip-up. But yay! I wasn't able to take pictures of them all and they weren't all blog-worthy, but I did it! After this outfit, I have only one last combination to show you from school. But I have to say, it got seriously difficult around the end.

I've mentioned it before, but if I wear sweats, I try to make them into outfits, like this one, where I feel like they've still been put together well. For a couple of weeks, though, I had a really hard time because out of nowhere, I started having an allergic reaction to my laundry detergent! It took us a while to figure out what was going on, but after washing my clothes, they'd feel really prickly to me and itchy to the point where I couldn't wear them. For some reason, sweats and a few other clothes would be wearable, but it was always a bit of a gamble and roll of the dice to see what pieces would be okay every time I did laundry. Because of this, my wardrobe was severely limited and I have no idea how, but I still managed not to repeat outfits! That's also why there was a long break a month ago or so when there weren't many posts--all I could wear were sweats and old shirts! It was so incredibly frustrating to not know what was going on, but we finally got it all squared away! Yay!

Prom

13E
12e
And finally, some prom pictures! In my opinion, prom really was magical. The theme was old-fashioned circus, and even though a lot of people hated it, I though it was a great idea. I loved the venue, getting ready together with friends, dinner...but I do love cheesy stuff like that. We had a really great group and despite a little last minute stress (we forgot to make dinner reservations...thankfully we were able to make ones on our way to another restaurant!) it was amazing.

I had a little dress drama though, which I tweeted about, since on the Sunday before prom, I realized the dress I had bought in November wasn't going to work. It had an elastic waist, which was perfect for my metal allergy (meaning no zipper, which is hard to find in a prom dress), but the embellishments on the shoulders did have metal! We couldn't figure out what else to do with the shoulders on such short notice while still making the dress fancy enough and it was almost a foot too long. Because of all those reasons, I found myself desperately searching all websites I could think of looking for another dress. I randomly scrolled through Piperlime, and actually found two promising dresses! We ordered them and though the dress I ended up with did have a zipper (which was a rather unpleasant surprise...that detail was not on the website) my supermom was able to cut it out and replace it with another piece of fabric just in time! I wore the belt on top to make it a little more glamorous, and off I went to prom! Thankfully, we have a whole year to figure out what to do with my other dress, and I'm looking forward to wearing it my senior year. I also had to wear my tennis shoes to prom because my feet were really hurting that day, but since my dress was long, I don't think it was as noticeable.

So that was prom! Crazy, but wonderful! How was yours?

Yellows, Pinks, and Whites

Ooof it's been a long time since my last outfit post, hasn't it? I'm sorry about that, but thanks for hanging in there. And thanks to all our new followers! It was such a sweet surprise, especially during a stressful time. The good news is, exams are over and summer has begun! The bad news...the ACT is on Saturday! I know, right? In my opinion, the ACT is harder than the SAT, so I'm working very hard to prepare. But I've put together a few more posts so I won't fall as behind again ;). Aaaaand a prom post should be heading your way soon! Yes, I know prom was about a month ago, but I'll post those soon! Prom really was glorious and I can't wait to share!

Not My Gingham

017e

Top: Gap (brother's)/ Jeans: Old Navy/ Belt: Vintage/ Shoes: Payless/ Scarf: H&M

This button down was at the top of my list when I discovered the possibility of borrowing clothes from my brother. I've really never been a gingham person, though. It usually just seems too Little House on the Prairie, and while I did love those books, I'm not crazy about how it translates into style and fashion. I even did a project in middle school about prairie fashion, which was really interesting, actually, but not something I want to add to my wardrobe. I just loved this bright green print, though, and wanted to make it a little less classic with the bow and belt. And I can't tell you how comfy and perfectly oversized it was! I have to admit, it's a little too warm to wear this outfit now, but I can't wait to find ways to work it into my summer outfits. But don't worry...I have already returned it!

I'm sorry that things continue to be so quiet over here. Things are really difficult right now, and so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post again. I'm still having some health problems, and with the flurry of work from the end of the school year, those two things need to be my top priority right now. I'll still post when I can! Thanks for hanging in there.

P.S. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! And to all you other moms out there!
P.S.S. You guys can also keep up with me on Twitter and Pinterest, since I can still go on there for my breaks

I tried to make you guys a little dancing gif because it was sunny and lovely outside, but somehow the multishot capability isn't really an option while using the timer. So this was all I got. Sad face.
