When I think New Year's, I think glitzy, glamorous parties with sequins and sparkling confetti and disco balls and pretty pale pink champagne. I've never been to a party like that, for New Year's or in general, but I can't help but associate New Year's with glam. Maybe it's the excitement of a new beginning, but that's my first thought, so I had to wear something kind of special yesterday, even though it was just a casual day. Since I wanted my New Year's outfit to have some of that glam feel, I wore double fur. Because what's more glamorous than fake fur?
I have to confess, though, this isn't what I actually wore when the clock struck midnight. This is what I planned on wearing during the day and when I went to my friend's house for our party. It was going to be super casual though with just a couple of friends, so I planned on wearing this! But then about thirty minutes before I was supposed to leave I had a change of heart. Even though wasn't going to be dressy, I felt like dressing up just a teeny bit. After all, New Year's only comes once a year! And I wanted to celebrate! So pictures of that, and what Blythe wore too, are coming up!

The color of your fur(s) compliment your blue shirt so beautifully! I'm excited to see what you actually came up with.
ReplyDeleteA few years back I was celebrating NYE by myself, so I went all out in dressing up. Then some friends "kidnapped" me and took me to there party and everyone was sitting around in sweats and asked why I was so dressed up. Moral of the story!! - I am totally with you on the dressing up thing. It's not NYE unless there is glitter somewhere in my outfit. haha
