Casual Friday

Sweater: Delia's :: Necklace: DIY

Sorry for the fake outfit post. I did take outfit pictures today, but they all turned out a little blurry and with that awkward almost-nighttime light. So instead I did the first close up of today's outfit with my self timer (the others I took regularly). I'm a little impressed because the self-timer and I usually don't get along. There's a lot more detail in that picture than I thought there would be. Maybe there is hope for my relationship with that self-timer.

Anyway, this sweater is my new favorite! It's slouchy and comfortable and I really love the detail of the buttons going down the back. It makes it a little more special and right now I've earnestly been searching for such pieces. In terms of the complete and sadly not pictured outfit, I wore this sweater, the necklace, jeans, and boots. Yes, those black boots I practically always wear. It's not like I have any other shoes at all. The brown boots and flats just don't...count. Somehow all my other shoes just haven't clicked with my outfits these days. But I do have another outfit post planned for this weekend involves something else! Flats! I'm actually really excited about that post, too, because it's something I've been planning for awhile. It was originally a summer idea but I have recently reworked it for fall, and I can't wait to show you all!

Wow that was a bit of a digression. Anyway , I'm sure you'll see more of this sweater soon, and hopefully in a proper outfit post!

I hope you all had/are having great Friday's! I had a MLIA moment today (click on the link if you want a laugh. But be forewarned: that website is a procrastinator's best friend and worst enemy). I dropped everything I was carrying today all over the ground and just as I was preparing to pick it all up, I found myself surrounded by a group of people I don't know. They helped me gather up my stuff faster than I could put it back in my bag and even held my bag open for me! I was majorly impressed, people. It made my day.
I feel inspired.

I just realized I went off on another digression. Sorry guys! MLIA will make up for it!

  1. Came across your blog, and simply love the sweater! I'm tempted to wear my own backwards for the same look....may turn out to be interesting.
