McDonald's

Yellow Shirt: Aeropostale (don't judge)
White Shirt: Old Navy
Jeans: Delia's
Jacket: JC Penny's
Boots: Dillard's

I have no clue what that twisty wooden thing is (maybe a vine...a really wooden...vine?) but I like it so I decided to do my outfit pictures there. Yeah I know my picture backgrounds are ridiculously intriguing. But anyway, about the outfit:

I was kind of unsure about mixing yellow and red because I was afraid of looking like McDonald's, but I actually like how it turned out. It's not one of my usual color combinations, which makes this outfit a little more interesting (or at least it does to me). If I was going to be scientific I would say that the reason yellow and red can coexist in this outfit without looking like Ronald McDonald's niece is because I also wore the blue jacket. But that might just be me rambling. Let's go with that.

  5. Haha, I'm smiling at the McDonald's reference but hey, it works. It's all about proportion, I guess. It's such a shame that some colours are ruined by association. Altho, lately I'm in the mood for turquoise and orange even tho it always reminds me of the Miami Dolphins (hey when I post about it I'm going to link to this post, as inspiration).

That was so lovely of you to write, Blythe - so polite and considerate. I just sent you a long reply and then was so curious I had to come visit. And then got really intrigued by the twisted tree. Lately I'm more in the mood to shoot - and post - pictures of trees and nature, than style. Anyway it's a great look. I think the secret is your yellow shirt is pale enough - bright 100% orangey yellow would be too Ronald McDonald.

Happy New Year and welcome to the wonderful world of blogging! xx
