Black Lace and Sheer White

Skirt: Thrifted
Shoes: Steve Madden, Nordstrom Rack
Top: Target
Tank: Old Navy
Black Ring: Forever 21
Snake Ring: Amazon
Belt: Vintage

This is my first post in a long time. My wonderful friend Charlotte has been doing all of the work so now it's my turn to post a few things. This outfit was thrown together this morning and then i liked the way it looked so i decided to post it. i was excited when i found this Express skirt at the thrift store.
But. The real story here are the shoes. These shoes were my life for about three days. i dreamed about these shoes. Seriously. I saw them in Nordstrom Rack and i immediately had to have them. But they were 50 dollars and i had no money. So, depressed and annoyed at the lack of fairness in this world, i left without the shoes. Come Christmas morning, i was half expecting them to be under my christmas tree, but sadly, no. But there was a 50 dollar bill there. So the next morning i got up before 7, drove the hour to the Nordstrom rack and bought the shoes. And that is my profound and meaningful story for the day. :)

  3. That is a beautiful story :)

Ya know I always lament the fact that Express skirts are so SHORT. Guess I need to rummage through the thrift stores for a cute and long option like this one!

  4. I love the flowy, slightly sheer quality of this skirt juxtaposed with the studded clogs! It's a cool contrast!

  5. Isn't it funny how shoes can stick with you like that? I tried on some BCBG knee-high black boots last time I was in Seattle, but they were fifty dollars and it was just too much to spend. That was two months ago, and I can't get them out of my head even now. Luckily I was able to thrift some really good black boots later for nine dollars, but nothing will ever replace the ones that got away.

  8. I like your shoe story, I have a similar one. What is it about these black studded beauties that makes us as though we can't live without them?
