I know, I know. Right now, you, yes you, are asking yourself, who is this strange person? And why on earth is she posting on Alles Mode? Well, my name is Blythe. and I'm supposedly the co-author of this here blog. Since I've been MIA for the past week, i feel as if i should introduce myself again. what's that you say? you remember me? oh goody. i won't have to go through the trouble of telling people my eye color and what i ate for breakfast. (my eyes are blue and i ate toast with butter and jelly for breakfast, in case you're wondering.)
anyway, I'm going to tell you the location of a very very important place. you mustn't tell anybody. (even your dog. or cat. or fish. or any other kind of pet you may have.)
anyway the name of this ever-so-secret place is... Buffalo Exchange. shh! don't repeat it. and I'll even tell you WHY it's so special and important. it is important because you can find really cute clothes there for UNDER 50 dollars. and guess what? i got this very cute dress there. i must say, i absolutely love this dress. its so cute, i just want to pinch it's cheeks and say, "oh look at you!" like my grandma.
but, i probably won't do that because I'm still trying to keep up my facade of being a normal person.
speaking of normality, i got my hair cut! i love it. it's like a cross between the 70's, David Bowie, and punk.
yeah, just try to imagine that.
anyway, my friends were very complimentary, and some even asked if i had gotten my hair cut. i said, no, 4 inches of hair just magically disappeared off my head. (they believed me.) and others simply stuck with the "oh...it's...different!" (gee, thanks.) although, i was a bit nervous about getting my hair cut to pixie length this time because last time i did, i had at least 2 people insult me. i was offended, to say the least. it was so rude! has anything like that ever happened to you?
anyway. I'm off my soapbox and i will now bid thee good-night! (anyone get the reference? hint: it's a pixar movie.)
Okay so before i go and forget, (like i do everything else) here are the FBFF questions for today:
1. What technology do you use in blogging? (computer, camera, video camera, tripod, etc...)
B: i... use a camera. that is it, and that is all that will ever be.
C: I use a camera. I've been meaning to find a tripod, though...
2. What computer and online technology do you use? (blogging system, photo storage, photo editing tools, etc..)
B: Picnik. A very good, free, way to edit pictures.
C: I actually use a huge variety. I've used the Microsoft software that came with my computer (Blythe and I both always use Dells), Gimp, and Photoshop. It really depends on what is available to me, as the programs are on different computers.
3. What is your process for taking pictures?
B: um... i don't really have a process. i mostly just take them and then... edit them.
C: My process usually consists of putting together the outfit, taking pictures, editing them...nothing super profound.
4. When it comes to backdrops for your photos what do you consider? Do you scout locations or shoot the same spot daily?
B: i'm always looking for new backdrops. i think they add so much more to the photo...or they can detract from it. it just depends on the outfit.
C: Like, Blythe, I always keep my eye out for new locations to take pictures. I always prefer to take pictures outside as I've found better backdrops there, but sometimes I can't help having to shot inside, especially at this time of year when the sun sets so soon. But I try to mix it up a little and not use the same location every time.
5. If you could splurge and get one new piece of equipment what would you be buying?
B: i would get photoshop. just so then i could be high-quality like the rest of the blogosphere.
C: I would get a really nice camera. I really like the Canon Rebel, but I haven't really looked at many others.
Happy Friday!
