Dress: T.J.Maxx/ Shoes: Payless/ Belt: Vintage/ Skirt: Gap/ Tank: Target
When I found this dress, I had to wear it right away. It's just so perfect for spring and summer! Now that I think about it, though, it'll also work well paired with darker colors for winter and fall. How exciting that will be! Although I wouldn't mind if fall took it's time coming. There's no way I'm ready to be a senior! I know all I only talk about school and whatnot (sorry!!), but it's really crazy to become aware of how many major, junior-related things are suddenly due. And then whenever I catch myself wishing it'd be summer already, I remember something my mom said once. I was talking to her and saying how I wished it'd be Friday or Saturday or something, and she just said, "It's a little sad that you're wishing your life away like that." It's been years since then, but that's always stuck with me. So as much as I'd love it to be summer and just be done with exams and things like that, it's nice to remember that I really don't want the next month or so of my life to just disappear. But then I am freaking out about how much time has already passed, so things are a little crazy over here. I'm having a mid-high school crisis or something! I'm not ready for all this to be over, but at least I get to wear a cute dress while time flies by ;).

I'm not medical professional, but you sound like you've got yourself a case of senioritis! I've seen many of these same symptoms from my high school senior friends. Don't worry, you're normal.
ReplyDeleteBut your mom is right! It's hard not to get caught up in wishing things would happen now or whatever, but you just gotta stop wishing and start living in the moment. I'm in a similar situation right now - not wishing to be elsewhere, just bored with where I am and want something else. I know it will pass!
Hang in there! :)
